Applied Materials Funding Guidelines Environment To engage employees and community members in working toward a more sustainable future, we invest in environmental education and community-based projects that demonstrate the importance and value of protecting the environment. We have a special interest in funding Environment grant proposals that: ■ Focus on environmental education for young people, especially in underserved communities ■ Encourage hands on opportunities for employee volunteers and their families Girls Empowerment TM Generation Girl , an initiative of the Applied Materials Foundation, was created to inspire today’s generation of girls to pursue their dreams. We fund programs that support girls by addressing the societal and systemic barriers that can stand in their way. We have a special interest in funding Girls Empowerment grant proposals that: ■ Address girls’ lack of self-efficacy and confidence ■ Positively change perceptions about traditional gender stereotypes ■ Increase access to high quality STEM programs ■ Suppport and/or strengthen the infrastructure of the field ■ Offer opportunities for employee engagement Learn more about Generation Girl here. APPLYING FOR FUNDING Applications are accepted via our online grants management system: Apply Now. Return applicants are asked to complete their Final Report on previous funding prior to submitting a new proposal for funding. If funds from the prior year have not been fully expended before a new application is set to be submitted, contact us for support on submitting an Interim Report.
